Using Cookta
Cookta gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful, non-commercial cooking purposes. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse Cookta or attempt to access another person’s account.
Your account
You sign in through Google or Apple and are responsible for protecting access to that provider account and your device. Information you provide must be accurate. You can sign out or permanently delete your account from Settings.
Cooking, allergy, and food-safety notice
Cookta is a cooking guide, not medical, nutritional, allergy, or food-safety advice. Recipe filters and allergen labels may be incomplete, ingredients and packaged products can change, and cross-contact can occur. Always inspect labels and ingredients yourself and use guidance from qualified professionals when an allergy or medical condition is involved.
Use safe food-handling practices and independently verify doneness and temperatures. Timers and notifications are convenience features, not safety alarms, and can be delayed or silenced by device settings, connectivity, battery state, or operating-system behavior.
Content and intellectual property
Cookta, its visual design, software, recipes, text, illustrations, and branding are protected by intellectual-property laws. Feedback you choose to send may be used to improve Cookta without compensation, while you keep ownership of any rights you already hold in that feedback.
Availability and changes
We may improve, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim for reliable guidance and timers but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device and internet access where synchronization or sign-in requires it.
Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cookta is provided “as is” and without implied warranties. Cookta is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
Ending use
You may stop using Cookta or delete your account at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect Cookta, its users, or comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Applicable law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws that apply to Cookta’s operator, without taking away mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Questions can be sent through Cookta support. Our privacy policy explains how personal data is handled.
